Philipp has a background in economic development and business (BSc Hons. Management, Warwick Business School; MSc Local Economic Development, London School of Economics). He has joined WISC after having worked in urban and regional development and infrastructure projects in the UK and Latin America as well as foreign direct investment with national and municipal governments in Europe and Canada. His experience led him to develop a particular interest in the interconnected nature of infrastructure and the evolutionary nature of the urban system in which it is embedded.
Adopting an integrated and transdisciplinary approach he focuses on the use of citizen-generated data for urban systems decision-making to make cities resilient and sustainable.
