Vikki Houlden

Vikki is a graduate of the MEng programme at the School of Engineering, University of Warwick, where she obtained a First Class degree in Civil Engineering. Following this, she became interested in how people relate to their surrounding built environment, and how this should be best configured to benefit their mental health and wellbeing. She completed her EPSRC CDT Urban Science training year in 2015 specialising in Data Analytics, graduating with a Distinction.

Her research interests concern the relationship between urban greenspaces and resident’s mental wellbeing. She is investigating different greenspace characteristics, in terms of primary use, biodiversity and accessibility proxies in order to benefit informed greenspace design.

Alignment with EPSRC research themes: Global uncertainties; Healthcare technologies; Mathematical Sciences.
