WISC PhD student, Henry Crosby has raised in excess of £2,000 for a Marie Curie Hospice by cycling the 300 mile cycle ride from Solihull to Dublin with a group of 25 other Marie Curie supporters. Henry says "This was physically the most challenging thing that I have ever experienced, especially cycling through the Malvern hills and Brecon Beacons, but it was all for a great cause". Many members of the WISC community have supported Henry in this venture through donating, fundraising ideas and training support. This cycle ride was one of three challenges that Henry set himself to help raise awareness of the charity, in addition Henry climbed the three largest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in August and will attempt to run the Yorkshire Marathon in October (for which we wish him luck).
